New York GOP County and Town Chair call on Langworthy to resign

For Immediate Release

August 5th, 2022

Buffalo, NY - Today, LaKeisha Shoemaker, the Chairwoman of Town of Aurora GOP, and Sue McNeil, the Chairwoman of Fulton County GOP released a statement calling for part-time Chairman Nick Langworthy, who is taking $150,000 a year to not do his job, to resign.

Joint statement from Chairwoman Sue McNeil and Chairwoman LaKeisha Shoemaker:

“Nick Langworthy is spending all of his time running for Congress instead of executing his role as NYGOP Chairman, where he is paid $150,000 a year. Instead, Republican voters have received a part-time chairman, who has traveled to Washington D.C. multiple times to meet with lobbyists, instead of traveling the state to elect Republicans up and down the ballot. Republicans deserve a full-time chairman, who doesn’t cause division, but instead unifies our base and wins elections. Nick has no plan to help candidates win, so county and town chairs are stepping up to fill the void. He should resign.”
